Job Summary:

Regional Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Marketing:

  • Drive topline sales across the zone by setting and tracking performance benchmarks for multiple state (Regional) teams.
  • Plan and monitor direct & indirect student acquisition strategies.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.

2. Strategic Outreach & Market Development

  • Design and oversee large-scale campus engagement plans across major medical colleges.
  • Lead planning of seminars, events, and ambassador activations to enhance visibility and conversions.
  • Develop partnerships with college administrations for sustained market presence.

3. Team Leadership & Alignment

  • Manage, coach, and motivate teams spread across region.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and business planning meetings.
  • Ensure process standardization and data discipline across field teams.

4. Training & Capability Building

  • Conduct on boarding and continuous skill development programs for BD teams.
  • Accompany BDMs/BDEs/TSM/ASM on field visits to coach them on sales techniques and market handling.
  • Collaborate with internal L&D for structured training interventions.

5. Operational Oversight

  • Monitor execution of campaigns, ambassador programs, app download targets, and data collection.
  • Maintain high standards of reporting, documentation, and compliance.
  • Share weekly dashboards and performance insights with leadership.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Sales Leadership: Proven track record of driving large-area sales.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to plan zonal growth strategies, go-to-market plans, and brand positioning.
  • People Management: Ability to inspire, coach, and manage cross-functional, multi-location teams.
  • Execution Excellence: Strong on-ground activation experience, especially in market engagement and BTL marketing.
  • Data Orientation: Proficient in using CRM, Excel/Google Sheets, and MIS tools for performance tracking.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 610 years of experience in business development, preferably in Publishing, EdTech, Education, FMCG/Banking/BFSI or similar field roles.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (Min 15-20 Days per month)
