Job Description – Sales Zonal Head
Position Title: Sales Zonal Head
Location: Pan India (Work Base – Chennai)
Reports To: [Head of Sales / Director / Management]
Team Size: 10 (Sales & Marketing Team)
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering.
MBA preferred.
Experience
Minimum 12 years in B2B Sales with proven track record.
At least 9 years in Industrial Marketing.
5+ years experience with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
Strong background in Industrial Products / Projects / Capital Equipment / Machinery Tools / Material Handling Equipment / Construction Equipment sales.
Key Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities, oversee market research, and ensure competitive positioning.
Lead and mentor a sales & marketing team of 10 members.
Drive new marketing initiatives, attend industry events, and contribute to brand positioning.
Manage end-to-end direct sales and customer interactions.
Handle capital equipment negotiations (pre-sales to closure).
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, OEMs, and key stakeholders.
Ensure timely payment collections and adherence to company credit terms.
Manage sales forecasting, pricing strategies, and business planning.
Achieve zonal sales targets with focus on growth and profitability.
Skills & Competencies
Strong logical reasoning, negotiation, and convincing skills.
Excellent communication skills (English, Tamil, Hindi – Mandatory).
Proficiency in MS Office & MIS report generation.
Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
Ability to travel extensively across India.
Professional grooming, interpersonal maturity, and disciplined work style.
Candidate Profile
Must be willing to travel Pan India.
Results-driven leader with strategic mindset.
Industrial sales exposure with strong B2B expertise.
Demonstrated ability to take up new challenges and drive business growth.
