Job Description

As the Regional Head Sales, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategy, execution, and performance in the assigned region, which includes Chennai (Tamil Nadu & Kerala), Lucknow (UP), Chhattisgarh (MP - Bhopal), Bihar, Guwahati (Northeast), Odisha & Jharkhand, and Rajasthan (Jaipur). Your role involves leading a network of Cluster Heads and their teams across multiple geographies to drive AUM growth, expand distributor networks, deepen client relationships, ensure product penetration, and achieve key business KPIs aligned with national goals. You will lead and manage a team of Cluster Heads and their respective sales teams, translating the national sales strategy into actionable regional plans to monitor and drive the achievement of AUM, revenue, empanelment, and client acquisition targets. Strengthening relationships with key mutual fund intermediaries across the region, driving empanelment of new partners, enhancing productivity of existing ones, and overseeing execution of regional engagement programs are crucial aspects of your role. In terms of people management and development, you will coach and mentor Cluster Heads to build high-performing sales teams, drive a culture of accountability, customer centricity, and performance excellence, and identify capability gaps to upskill the workforce in collaboration with HR/training teams. Identifying growth opportunities within the region, collaborating with product, marketing, and digital teams, and monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes are also part of your responsibilities. Operational excellence is key, with regular review of performance dashboards, sales MIS, and pipeline reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal policies, and optimizing the use of sales tools, CRM, and technology to enhance sales effectiveness. The key KPIs include regional AUM growth, number of new empanelled partners, activation and productivity of the distributor base, product mix, wallet share improvement, and team performance metrics. The ideal candidate for this role should have 12-18 years of experience in asset management, wealth management, or BFSI sales leadership, a strong understanding of mutual fund products, markets, and regulatory landscape, a proven track record of leading large teams and managing senior stakeholders, excellent strategic thinking, execution, and communication skills, and the ability to travel extensively within the region.,
