Manage day-to-day operations of rubber compounding and mixing plant , ensuring quality and productivity targets. Plan and execute batch production as per BOM/specifications using internal mixers (Banbury), kneaders, and open mills. Monitor and optimize mixing cycles, temperatures, and raw material feeding to achieve consistent compound quality. Supervise raw material inventory, batch traceability, and ensure minimal wastage. Coordinate with R&D and Quality teams for compound trials, testing, and validation . Maintain safety protocols, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with internal ISO/TS/IATF standards and maintain relevant documentation. Train and guide production staff, machine operators, and helpers on SOPs and best practices. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of rubber polymers (NR, SBR, EPDM, NBR, FKM, etc.), fillers, and additives. Experience with Banbury mixers, kneaders, mills, and strainers . Understanding of compound rheology , viscosity checks, and laboratory testing. Sound leadership, shop-floor discipline, and man-management skills. Familiarity with ERP/MIS systems for batch control and reporting.
