Purchase Engineer / Senior engineer - 2 nos

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure On time delivery of goods (indirect materials and other materials as assigned) as per the planning and scheduling requirements. Ensure OTD is achieved as per organizational targets.
• Preparation of Cost Comparison and obtaining approval for undertaking the Purchase order or service order. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks. Assess supplier Capability and Capacity for Veerya Scope of Work.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand. forecast price trends and their impact on future activities; Keep a constant check on stock levels;
• Maintain files on supplier contracts, LTAs, NDAs etc. and ensure on time supplier assessment and approvals. keep contract files and use them as reference for the future;
• Responsible for supplier rating and sharing the rating feedback to suppliers for improvement.
• Follow up with suppliers on order progress. Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided;
• Process payments and invoices; Co-ordinate between supplier and finance teams for payable processes. Assist in settling invoices or contract disputes.
• Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors;
• Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment. Responsible for End to End purchase process from Floating RFQ to receipt of materials.
• Ensure compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations and Ensure accurate take offs to ensure budgets are accurate
• Maintain Supplier Approval records and Approved supplier list at all times.
• Ensure on time support to suppliers on technical and commercial queries. Assist in maintaining Veerya quality control program across supply chain.
• Forecast upcoming demand as per the issued schedule and plan the purchase, outsourcing and other strategies accordingly.
