Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Quantitative Analyst (Quant) to develop, optimize, and implement quantitative models for cryptocurrency trading. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and programming, with a keen interest in crypto markets. This role involves analyzing vast datasets, building predictive models, and collaborating with traders and developers to enhance our fund's performance. Based in our Ahmedabad office, this is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and exposure to cutting-edge fintech.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and backtest quantitative trading strategies for cryptocurrencies, including arbitrage, market-making, and momentum-based approaches, with a focus on perpetual futures.
• Analyze historical and real-time market data from exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, and Indian platforms to identify patterns and inefficiencies.
• Develop machine learning models for price forecasting, risk assessment, and portfolio optimization in volatile crypto environments.
• Implement algorithms in programming languages such as Python or C++ for high-frequency trading systems.
• Monitor and refine live trading strategies, ensuring robustness against market crashes, liquidity issues, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with the research team to integrate blockchain data (e.g., on-chain metrics) into quantitative frameworks.
• Conduct risk management simulations and stress testing for crypto portfolios.
• Stay updated on global crypto trends, regulatory developments in India (e.g., from RBI and SEBI), and emerging technologies like NFTs and Web3.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience as a Quant in finance, preferably in hedge funds, high-frequency trading, or crypto/DeFi sectors.
• Proficiency in programming languages: Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and/or C++.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, time-series analysis, stochastic processes, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin), and tools like APIs from crypto exchanges.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) and databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of Indian financial regulations and crypto-specific risks (e.g., volatility, security breaches) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 market.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with algorithmic trading platforms or bots (e.g., using CCXT library).
• Background in machine learning applications for finance, such as reinforcement learning for trading agents.
• Understanding of decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and smart contract interactions.
• Ability to handle big data tools like Hadoop or Spark for processing large crypto datasets.
