Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and Implementing Quality Control: Creating and maintaining quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards for steel fabrication.
• Inspections and Testing: Conducting thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified requirements and quality standards.
• Quality Audits: Performing internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigating product defects or non-conformities to determine the root cause and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
• Collaboration: Working closely with design, production, and other teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing quality data, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation related to quality control activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Training and Support: Providing training and guidance to production staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all quality-related activities and ensuring proper documentation of processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, and quality control methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality-related issues effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspections and documentation.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and reporting findings.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data and using statistical tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Quality Management Systems: Experience with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in quality assurance within the steel fabrication industry
