Role Summary:

The QA Head is responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of RMC’s products across all stages of production — from raw material testing to final dispatch. This role implements, monitors, and continually improves quality assurance systems, inspection protocols, and testing procedures to ensure compliance with buyer specifications and RMC’s internal quality standards. The QA Head leads a cross-functional team to ensure zero-defect shipments and promote a culture of preventive quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality System Implementation & Process Control

• Establish and maintain QA systems across production units and finishing processes.
• Define inspection checkpoints, sampling frequencies, and tolerance levels.
• Update QA and QC SOPs based on audit findings and recurring issues.
• Conduct internal audits and follow up on non-conformities.
• Implement digital tracking for inspection data and test reports.

Inspection Planning & Execution (Loom, Baazar, Finishing, Dispatch)

• Prepare daily QC schedules and allocate inspection tasks to team members.
• Review loom inspection reports for design accuracy, weave consistency, and dimensions.
• Verify baazar and finishing QC logs and ensure all corrections are validated.
• Approve pre-dispatch inspections and release shipments after final clearance.
• Conduct random inspections for high-value or high-risk orders.

Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) & Root Cause Analysis

• Analyze recurring quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a CAPA tracker with detailed closure and verification records.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Merchandising teams to resolve quality deviations.
• Ensure learnings are communicated across departments to prevent recurrence.

Quality Reporting, Buyer Feedback & Compliance

• Maintain QA dashboards and share periodic reports with the Operations Head.
• Track buyer complaints, analyze causes, and ensure resolution.
• Prepare for buyer or third-party inspections and ensure compliance readiness.
• Verify documentation for all shipments and inspection certificates.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Supervise and guide QA Executive, QC Assistants, and Laboratory Technician.
• Conduct weekly team review meetings and assign inspection targets.
• Facilitate training on inspection techniques, testing standards, and documentation.
• Promote a “first-time-right” quality approach and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
