Core responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement quality systems:

     Establish and manage quality standards, processes, and procedures to ensure products meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Oversee quality control:

     Monitor and conduct inspections throughout the fabrication process, from incoming materials to the final product, to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Data analysis and reporting:

     Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics, such as defect rates and yield, to management and identify areas for improvement.
  • Problem-solving:

     Troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Continuous improvement:

     Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and implement strategies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Staff training:

     Train and guide production and quality staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Supplier management:

     Coordinate with suppliers to address material quality issues and ensure compliance. 


Required skills and qualifications:


  • Education:

     Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience:

     5+ years of experience in production or quality control is common.
  • Technical skills:

     Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) is essential.
  • Leadership and communication:

     Proven leadership, team management, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are crucial.
  • Other skills:

     Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
