The UAT Junior Analyst will support the testing of payout processing flows across bank account, wallet, and card payout channels in the remittance domain. The role involves preparing test cases, executing test scenarios, validating partner/API responses, and ensuring smooth end-to-end payout journeys before production release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Preparation & Understanding Requirements
  • Review functional requirements, BRDs, and user stories related to payout processing.
  • Understand account, wallet, and card payout rules, limits, cut-offs, and partner requirements.
  • Assist in preparing UAT scope, test scenarios, and basic test plans.
  • Test Case Writing & Execution
  • Write clear and simple test cases for:
  • Bank account payouts (bank transfer, ACH, IMPS/NEFT type flows)
  • Wallet payouts (mobile wallet, e-wallet validation, limits)
  • Card payouts (card token validation, card-to-card transfer)
  • Beneficiary verification & KYC checks
  • Fee, FX, limit configuration
  • Status updates & reconciliation checks
  • Execute manual test cases in UAT environments.
  • API & Integration Validation (Basic Level)
  • Validate API requests/responses for payout instructions using tools like Postman.
  • Check response codes, partner error messages, and status update callbacks.
  • Report mismatches in mapping, schema, or validation rules.
  • Defect Logging & Retesting
  • Log defects clearly with steps, screenshots, and expected/actual results.
  • Follow up with developers and leads for defect resolution.
  • Retest fixes and update test status accurately.
  • Operational & Exception Testing
  • Test scenarios such as payout failures, RTO (Return to Originator), retries, and partner rejects.
  • Validate Ops dashboard entries, payout status tracking, and reconciliation fields.
  • Support testing for AML holds, sanctions checks, and basic risk rules.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Update daily execution status and defect tracker.
  • Maintain UAT documents: test cases, results, evidence, and closure notes.

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in UAT/QA in Payments or Remittance domain.
  • Basic understanding of payout channels: bank account, wallet, card.
  • Familiarity with remittance flows, partner APIs, and transaction lifecycle.
  • Experience using Postman/Jira/Confluence (or equivalent).
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow processes and work under guidance of UAT Lead.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic SQL knowledge for transaction lookup and data validation.
  • Exposure to AML, compliance, or payment gateway flows.
  • Understanding of FX, fees, and corridor configuration.
