Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Junior Supervisor with 2–3 years of experience in fabrication and quality assurance, preferably in the EOT crane manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality standards, monitoring fabrication processes and maintaining compliance with industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily quality checks during fabrication of EOT cranes and related structures.
• Conduct in-process, stage-wise and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, welding quality, machining tolerances and surface finish.
• Verify welding processes [MIG (Metal Inert Gas welding) /ARC (Arc Welding) / SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)] for correct parameters, joint preparation, penetration and adherence to WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
• Check machining operations (shafts, wheels, gears, drums) for tolerance and finish as per drawings.
• Monitor NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) processes [UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) , DPT (Dye Penetrant Testing) for critical welds and load-bearing components.
• Ensure material quality and traceability by verifying Material Test Certificates (MTCs) for plates, sections, forgings and bought-out items.
• Maintain inspection records and QA documentation including stage inspection reports, welding logs, calibration records and test certificates.
• Support load testing and trial runs of cranes, verifying performance, alignment and safety compliance.
• Assist in internal audits, third-party inspections and customer stage inspections.
• Implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities, coordinating with production and welding teams.
• Collaborate with Quality Supervisor and production to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Quality Process Focus:

The Quality Junior Supervisor will ensure strict adherence to the following step-by-step QA/QC process in EOT Crane Manufacturing:

• Raw Material Inspection
• Verify steel plates, beams, forgings, motors and gearboxes against purchase specifications.
• Ensure traceability through Material Test Certificates MTCs and stamping/heat number marking.
• Fabrication Stage
• Inspect cutting, edge preparation, fit-up and alignment.
• Verify jigs/fixtures usage to maintain dimensional tolerances.
• Welding Stage
• Check joint preparation, welding sequence and parameters as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
• Monitor welder qualification and maintain welding records.
• Conduct NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) for critical welds [UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) , DPT (Dye Penetrant Testing)].
• Machining & Assembly Stage
• Inspect shafts, wheels, gears, rope drums for dimensional tolerances.
• Verify assemblies such as end carriages, trolley frames and gearboxes.
• Painting & Surface Protection
• Ensure surface preparation (shot blasting/primer) and application of specified coating system.
• Load Testing & Trial Run
• Assist in static & dynamic load testing of EOT cranes.
• Verify safety devices (limit switches, brakes, overload protection).
• Check operational smoothness, alignment and noise levels.
• Final Inspection & Documentation
• Conduct final inspection with client/third-party inspector.
• Prepare and submit quality dossiers including material traceability, inspection records, test reports and compliance certificates.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience in QA/QC in fabrication, preferably in EOT Cranes or heavy fabrication industry.
• Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication/GA (General Arrangement) drawings.
• Hands-on with measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, Weld Gauge, etc.).
• Exposure to ISO quality management system and audit processes.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: 20,000 to 25,000 .
