Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Analyst (automation) to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test strategies to ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality, and user-centric software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable automation frameworks, enable continuous testing through CI/CD pipelines, and leverage AI tools to optimize test coverage and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Design and implement scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing using tools like Selenium and Playwright.

· Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.

· Plan and execute API testing, ensuring reliability and performance of services and integrations.

· Conduct database testing to validate data integrity, business rules, and backend logic using SQL or similar tools.

· Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, scripts, and defects to ensure compliance and audit-readiness.

· Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.

· Leverage AI-powered testing tools and techniques (e.g., intelligent test case generation, self-healing scripts, anomaly detection) to increase test efficiency and reduce maintenance overhead.

· Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to analyse requirements, identify test scenarios, and determine automation feasibility.

· Execute automated test cases, analyse failures, log defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.

· Maintain comprehensive test documentation, ensuring traceability, coverage, and compliance with quality standards.

· Ensure automation artifacts are reviewable, auditable, and traceable, supporting both internal QA reviews and external inspections.

· Continuously optimize automation frameworks and stay ahead of industry trends, bringing innovative QA practices to the team.

· Promote a culture of automation, ownership, and quality, mentoring team members on modern testing practices when needed.

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or in a similar role.

· Strong knowledge of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and test design techniques.

· Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI test automation.

· Experience in API testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman, Newman, or equivalent.

· Strong understanding of database testing, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend validation.

· Experience with AI tools in testing - such as test case generation, self-healing scripts, or predictive analytics - is highly desirable.

· Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for integrating automated tests into pipelines.

· Proficiency in programming or scripting language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, C#).

· Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

· Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

· Demonstrated learning attitude and adaptability to new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
