As a QE & Testing Senior Advisor, you will help develop a world-class quality engineering team with the goal of creating next-generation capabilities that will help make Cigna the undisputed health partner of choice. You will work in an agile environment supporting a team of junior software engineers, delivering user-oriented products in a fast–paced environment. This role and those it supports will dotted line into our US based quality engineering leads. This role will report to the Core Tech HIH – Manager (Shared Services). Responsibilities Provide mentoring, vision, and strategic direction to the QA automation and testing teams. Support the definition and execution of quality engineering strategies aligned with overall technology and business goals. Drive test automation, continuous integration, and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices. Lead troubleshooting efforts, ensuring rapid resolution of defects and issues. Help establish and enforce engineering best practices focused on quality, reliability, reusability, and telemetry. Develop and maintain QA automation roadmaps, ensuring technology currency and ROI-driven improvements. Build strong relationships with Core Tech stakeholders to align testing strategies with application requirements. Develop and implement an effective talent strategy by:Recruiting and retaining top talent. Mentoring and developing engineers into full-stack QA professionals. Fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability. Drive modernization initiatives by identifying scalable improvements in tools, technologies, and methodologies. Ensure operational excellence within Agile and DevOps frameworks. Maintain proactive monitoring and management of application assets, ensuring performance, availability, security, and capacity. Optimize testing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and automation adoption across the teams. Qualifications Required Skills: leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Experience on a large, cross-functional QA teams in an Agile environment. Expertise in test design, defect management, and automation framework development. Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins, GIT, JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, and BDD frameworks. Advanced knowledge of SQL Server databases and Transact-SQL, including stored procedure analysis. Proven ability to drive large-scale QA and automation testing initiatives for both UI and backend systems. Experience in Healthcare IT with an understanding of industry terminology, processes, and compliance. Proficiency in modern testing methodologies such as Continuous Integration (CI), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).Strong Agile experience with practical leadership in Scrum teams. Required Experience & Education 13 - 16 years of experience in software development and test automation. Experience in vendor management within an onshore/offshore model. Expertise in architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise testing solutions. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Industry certifications such as Scrum Master, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent. Desired Experience: Experience with mainframe testing lifecycle. Exposure to cloud-native distributed systems (AWS). Experience of claims adjudication and claims lifecycle in healthcare. Experience coaching and mentoring teams in best practices for QA automation. Location & Hours of Work HIH Offshore Hyderabad Office.
