Job Summary
We are looking for a QA Lead with deep expertise in the Telecom BSS domain to manage end-to-end quality assurance processes across critical business systems including Billing, CRM, Order Management, and Revenue Management. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, with the ability to lead a QA team and drive quality best practices across Agile delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop detailed test plans and strategies.
- Define test scope and priorities in coordination with Product Owners, BAs, and Developers.
- Ensure end-to-end test coverage for all BSS modules such as CRM, Billing, Order Management, and Revenue Management.
Test Execution & Automation
- Lead functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases using manual and automation approaches.
- Implement and maintain automation frameworks using *Robot Framework, **Selenium*, etc.
- Conduct API testing using *Postman, **REST Assured, or **SOAP UI*.
- Integrate automated testing into *CI/CD pipelines* using *Jenkins, **Git, and **Docker*.
Defect Management & Reporting
- Track and manage defects using *JIRA, **XRAY* or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure quick resolution of issues.
- Create detailed test reports, metrics dashboards, and defect trend analyses for stakeholders.
Collaboration & Team Management
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams; participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, supporting knowledge-sharing and team development.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- ✅ Strong manual and automation testing experience in *Telecom BSS applications*.
- ✅ Hands-on with *Robot Framework, **Selenium, **Postman, **REST Assured, **SOAP UI*.
- ✅ Familiarity with performance testing tools like *JMeter* (basic).
- ✅ Solid experience with *SQL, **Postgres, or **MongoDB* for backend testing.
- ✅ Working knowledge of *Jenkins, **Git, and **Docker* for CI/CD integration.
- ✅ Proven track record in testing and validating complex systems across BSS modules.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications like *ISTQB, **CSTE* are a strong plus.
- Exposure to *Microservices, **Cloud platforms* (AWS, Azure, GCP), and *AI-based testing* is an advantage.
