About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Senior Python Automation Engineer / Lead to drive quality and innovation within our engineering team. This role is perfect for a self-starter with a passion for building robust, scalable test automation frameworks from the ground up and mentoring junior engineers. You will be instrumental in enhancing application quality across the entire development lifecycle.

Experience: 5 - 8 Years OR 10+ Years (We are hiring across multiple senior bands) Salary Range: Highly Competitive, commensurate with experience. 

Location: Pune / Indore

 Work Mode: Onsite during training, transitioning to a Hybrid model.

What Your Role Will Look Like:

Automation Design: Design and implement innovative, enterprise-level solutions for automatic application qualification.

Mentorship: Provide technical mentoring and guidance across the automation team, driving best practices in Python coding and framework usage.

Tooling: Exercise independent judgment in selecting and implementing test automation methods (Selenium, Playwright).

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex software and hardware configuration issues impacting automation efficiency and reliability.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance application quality and integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

Documentation: Document processes, findings, and solutions to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

What You Will Bring Along (Must-Have Skills):

Experience: Overall 6+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and test automation.

Core Programming: Strong Python programming skills for scripting and framework development.

UI Automation: Expert hands-on experience with UI-driven test automation frameworks such as Selenium and deep expertise in XPath.

DevOps: Proven experience integrating automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred):

Experience with modern frameworks like Playwright or Pytest.

Experience mentoring or leading junior automation engineers.

Familiarity with complex software/hardware troubleshooting in test environments.

About the Role

We are hiring a skilled Python Automation Engineer with a strong specialization in ETL/Data Pipeline Testing and exposure to Power BI Validation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Python expert who can ensure end-to-end data accuracy, from ingestion and transformation to final reporting, within a fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates across two senior bands (6-8 years and 8+ years of experience).

Experience: 6-8 Years OR 8+ Years

 Location: Indore / Pune Joiner Status: Immediate, Currently Serving Notice Period, or 30 Days (Email confirmation required) 

Salary: (Highly Competitive) 

What You Will Do:

Framework Design: Design and develop robust Python-based automation frameworks specifically for ETL and data pipeline validation.

Data Integrity: Develop and execute comprehensive ETL test cases, performing data reconciliation, validation, and transformation checks between source and target systems.

BI Validation: Perform Power BI report validation, including data accuracy checks, dashboard integrity, DAX validations, and data lineage tracing.

Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers and BI Developers to define testing strategies and ensure data consistency.

Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Improvement: Create reusable test scripts and contribute to continuous test automation and CI/CD improvements.

What You Will Bring Along:

Python Expert: Strong proficiency in Python scripting with a proven focus on automation and testing.

ETL Expertise: Hands-on experience with ETL testing (data extraction, transformation, and loading processes), including both manual and automation testing techniques.

Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL for complex data validation and query-based testing.

Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and modern data pipelines.

Automation Tools: Experience with automation frameworks like PyTest, Unittest, or similar.

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Exposure to Power BI testing (datasets, DAX, data lineage).

Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git) for test automation integration.

Experience with cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory or Snowflake.
