Key Skills:


  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • knowledge of supplier management, vendor development, and cost reduction.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

  • Proficiency in CAD, knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques (cutting, bending), and an understanding of industry standards and compliance


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation:

  • Identify potential suppliers based on technical requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of supplier capabilities, including manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and financial stability.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Vendor Development and Improvement:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for improvement in their processes, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to enhance their capabilities and meet the company's requirements.
  • Implement supplier development programs, including training, workshops, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Cost Reduction and Optimization:

  • Analyze the cost structure of products and identify opportunities for cost reduction through value engineering, process optimization, and material sourcing.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable payment terms.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives throughout the supply chain, such as reducing lead times, improving inventory management, and optimizing logistics.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Manage supplier performance, track key metrics, and address any performance issues proactively.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to suppliers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the product lifecycle.
