Job Summary:

Mechanical Engineer

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Analyze technical drawings and specifications to determine procurement requirements.

* Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.

* Prepare and review purchase orders ensuring accuracy in terms of quantity, specifications, and terms.

* Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to align procurement with project needs.

* Negotiate prices and contract terms with vendors for best value and quality.

* Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships.

* Ensure timely delivery of materials/components to avoid production delays.

* Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

* Maintain up-to-date records of procurement transactions and vendor databases.

* Support internal audits and compliance requirements related to procurement.

*Qualifications & Skills:*

* *Education:* B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)

* *Experience:* 2+ years in procurement or technical purchase role in a manufacturing setup

* Strong understanding of mechanical components, BOMs, and engineering drawings

* Familiar with procurement processes, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics), and inventory management

* Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills

* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

* Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
