Project Manager

SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will lead large complex projects and full life cycle programs. This position is responsible for the entire project scope and project needs to ensure successful delivery on time, within scope and budget. The Project Manager will coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, clients and business units in addition to managing stakeholder expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

⎯ Business Analysis

o Analyzing and gathering requirements

o Drawing up SOW and Business Case documents

⎯ Project and Program Demand Management

⎯ Project and Program Initiation, Planning and Execution

o Develop detailed project plans

o Assign resources and coordinate activities

o Manage resources (time, budget, people etc.)

o Define project scope, goals, deliverables

o Conduct steering committee meetings, utilize communication plans

o Keep projects up to date for real time visibility, including RAID logs and subsequent dashboards and reporting

o Put together test cases and get stakeholder sign off

⎯ Leadership

o Draw up communication plans and cadence o Facilitate project meetings and steering committee calls

⎯ Riks Management

o Identify risks as early as possible and develop mitigation strategies

o Ensure compliance with organizational policies and adherence to review boards

⎯ Reporting

o Provide project/program status reports to project teams, steering committee and senior leadership

o Use dashboards within the PM tool to ensure compliance with the PMO governance standards

⎯ Project Closure o Ensure proper project closure is carried out

o Hand over documentation to helpdesk/support teams

o Benefits realization o Project surveys

⎯ Stakeholder management

o Primary point of contact for the project amongst all stakeholders

o Manage expectations to ensure clear and regular communication on project status

⎯ Flexibility for calls with regional counterparts or stakeholders in other time zones

⎯ Working alongside the PMO team on the rollout of the PMO, governance, standards and assisting business units

REQUIRED SKILLS:

⎯ Capacity to work independently to complete projects and tasks

⎯ Proficiency in understanding and communicating IT related concepts, technologies (especially with networking technologies) and methodologies in the industry.

⎯ Proficiency in the use of project management software such as Wrike, Jira, MS Project etc.

⎯ Proven experience managing successful teams and navigating complex issues

⎯ Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, to comprehend the conversations and to present key information clearly

⎯ Proven track record of successfully delivering projects, within time, scope, budget and resource constraints.

⎯ Experience managing large, complex projects

⎯ Have some experience in remotely coordinating with local IT teams across various countries in Asia Pacific

⎯ Need to have some PM experience, able to drive weekly project meetings, send out weekly project summaries and proactively follow-up with various project members on the outstanding items independently

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

⎯ Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Management, Engineering or related field

⎯ 6+ years of IT project and program management

⎯ Certifications in: PMP, PgMP, Agile or Scrum certifications or equivalent are advantageous

⎯ Worked in an MNC environment, preferably with Asia Pacific exposure

⎯ Prior experience with IT hardware upgrade and IT network migration projects across multiple countries
