The Project Manager will play a critical role in leading and coordinating initiatives aimed at improving human rights and labor practices in India’s natural ingredients sector. This remote-based role offers the opportunity to manage multi-stakeholder projects, work closely with local suppliers and implementing partners, and support the development of monitoring and remediation systems. The position involves field-level engagement, stakeholder coordination, and capacity-building activities, ensuring that ethical and sustainable practices are adopted across supply chains. You will contribute to impactful projects that address child labor, occupational health and safety, and human rights due diligence, while reporting to senior leadership and collaborating with international teams. This role is ideal for a highly organized and mission-driven professional with strong project management experience.
- Accountabilities:
- Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of all project activities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans, tracking key indicators and outcomes.
- Oversee partnerships with local implementing partners, processors, and suppliers.
- Organize and facilitate coordination meetings, learning workshops, and field visits.
- Conduct field-level assessments, including worker profiling, grievance mapping, and supply chain analysis.
- Facilitate implementation of child labor monitoring and remediation systems (CLMRS) and provide training to local suppliers.
- Manage coalition governance, including advisory committees and general assembly meetings.
- Support administrative and financial compliance, including reporting, budgeting, and procurement processes.
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders, representing the project in conferences, meetings, and external communications.
- Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience managing multi-stakeholder projects in children’s rights, human rights due diligence, responsible sourcing, or occupational health and safety.
- Proven background in project monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong organizational, program management, and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and handling sensitive information.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with MacOS is preferred.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and information accurately.
- Commitment to improving labor rights and ethical practices in supply chains.
- Experience managing field-level assessments and capacity-building initiatives in complex environments.
