Position Overview:

The Civil Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes, and regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.


Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.

• Oversee the execution of civil engineering projects, including site preparation, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure development.


2. Resource Management:

• Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

• Supervise and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.

• Procure materials and equipment necessary for project implementation.


3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure that civil engineering designs and construction activities comply with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.

• Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify workmanship and adherence to specifications.

• Implement corrective actions to address deficiencies and ensure project quality.


4. Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

• Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders through regular meetings and reports.

• Address stakeholder concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.


5. Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with civil engineering projects.

• Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of unforeseen events.

• Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle and adjust strategies as needed.


6. Budget Control:

• Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to financial constraints.

• Track project costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures when appropriate.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.

• Proven experience in civil engineering project management.

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction techniques.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

• Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in civil engineering projects.

• Familiarity with Sustainability Certifications.
