Job Role: Quality Lead - Warehousing


Role in Brief:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance:

    Enforce quality control procedures, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, receiving, storage, and shipping processes. 
  • Inventory Management:

    Oversee inventory levels, conduct cycle counts and audits, and maintain accurate inventory records. 
  • Process Improvement:

    Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations, implement efficient practices, and optimize workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs. 
  • Team Leadership:

    Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. 
  • Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including OSHA, FDA, and other relevant regulations. 
  • Communication:

    Effectively communicate with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. 
  • Reporting:

    Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, including productivity metrics, inventory levels, and order fulfillment rates. 
  • Problem Solving:

    Address and resolve issues related to customer satisfaction, logistics, and quality complaints. 
  • Training:

    Train warehouse staff on quality control procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. 

 

Years of experience:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience needed in cold storage warehousing.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years of materials, warehouse, and inventory experience
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint and Excel

 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong business and analytical ability
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing process
  • Familiarity with materials management disciplines including production and inventory control
  • Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately
  • Ability to effectively operate in any organizational structure
