Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare detailed

    project schedules

    and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, goals, and milestones.
  • Manage

    full project life cycle

    from initiation and planning to execution and closure.
  • Develop

    project estimates, work breakdown structures (WBS)

    , and detailed implementation plans.

2. Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Plan and monitor

    project budgets

    by reviewing past job cost reports and identifying cost risks.
  • Track project finances, including

    general ledger, receivables/payables

    , and make quick adjustments for

    change orders or cost escalations

    .
  • Prepare

    site-wise monthly cash flow statements

    and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered

    within approved budgets

    and timelines.

3. Resource & Workforce Management

  • Hire, lead, and manage

    the project workforce efficiently.
  • Optimize manpower utilization and implement

    on-the-job training

    to improve team productivity.
  • Allocate project resources effectively, ensuring timely mobilization and deployment.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide leadership to achieve project objectives.

4. Subcontractor & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and build a

    network of reliable subcontractors

    and vendors.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, negotiate terms, and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Establish strong

    partnerships

    with external stakeholders for long-term collaboration.

5. Construction Execution & Site Management

  • Provide

    on-site leadership

    and ensure adherence to design, schedule, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with

    architects, consultants, engineers

    , and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
  • Manage installation activities and ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with

    building codes, safety, health, and environmental regulations

    .
  • Regularly issue

    progress updates

    on cost, schedule, and risk status.

6. Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Promote a strong

    safety culture

    and ensure all team members follow safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits.
  • Review safety standards and ensure that final deliverables meet statutory and company requirements.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in

    project planning, scheduling, and execution

    of civil/construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of

    project budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.

  • Excellent

    leadership, team management, and communication

    skills.
  • Proficient in

    MS Project / Primavera / AutoCAD / MS Excel

    and other project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of

    construction methods, safety standards, and contract management

    .

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering

    (Post-graduation in Project Management will be an advantage).
