Project Manager Civil

The Project Manager Civil will be responsible for leading, managing, and delivering all civil and structural works for large-scale Data Center construction projects. The role involves end-to-end responsibility from project initiation, planning, design coordination, execution, quality control, cost management, and timely handover, while working closely with cross-functional teams (MEP, design, procurement, safety, and client stakeholders).

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution

• Lead civil and structural scope for data center construction projects, from initiation to handover.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, milestones, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and structural engineers for design approvals and construction drawings.

• Site & Construction Management

• Oversee excavation, foundation, superstructure, finishing, and external works for data centers.
• Ensure construction adheres to approved drawings, specifications, and data center design standards.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Drive progress reviews, resolve site-level issues, and escalate critical concerns to management.

• Quality & Compliance

• Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections for civil works.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, environmental, and safety standards.
• Coordinate statutory approvals and liaise with government/local authorities when required.

• Cost & Contract Management

• Monitor project budgets, control variations, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Review and validate contractor bills, claims, and project documentation.
• Support procurement in vendor finalization and negotiation for civil packages.

• Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate with MEP, operations, and IT teams to ensure integrated project execution.
• Support commissioning and handover process of completed facilities to operations.
• Engage with client representatives and consultants for project reporting and approvals.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Expertise in civil engineering for industrial/commercial large-scale projects (preferably data centers, IT parks, hyperscale facilities).
• Knowledge of structural systems, finishing standards, waterproofing, fire-rated civil works, and fit-outs.
• Familiarity with MEP interface works and sequencing in data center projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera and AutoCAD.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in data centers, industrial, or hyperscale projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects within timelines and budget.
• PMP/PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage.
