Job Description

Production Planning · Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and sales forecasts · Analyze material and manpower requirements to ensure capacity planning aligns with production goals · Coordinate with the design and sales team to understand customer requirements and translate them into production tasks · Prepare and maintain production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products Production Control & Monitoring · Monitor the execution of production plans and identify bottlenecks or delays in real time · Work closely with the shop floor team to ensure that targets are met efficiently · Follow up with internal departments (Stores, Purchase, QA/QC) to avoid production disruptions · Record daily production output and identify areas of improvement System & Documentation · Use ERP or production management systems to track production status, inventory levels, and order progress · Generate periodic reports (MIS, KPI metrics, efficiency reports) for management review · Ensure proper documentation of production orders, work instructions, and standard operating procedures · Maintain and update production dashboards and system entries Inventory & Material Planning · Monitor raw material stock levels and coordinate with the Purchase department for timely procurement · Conduct material requirement planning (MRP) based on production schedules · Ensure minimum inventory holding while avoiding stockouts and delays · Maintain FIFO and other inventory control principles on the shop floor Process Improvement · Identify and implement improvements in planning, workflow, and systems to reduce cost and lead time · Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen, 5S, and Lean manufacturing practices · Analyze historical data to forecast demand, reduce wastage, and improve delivery performance Required Skills: · Strong leadership and team management skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of production software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Lean manufacturing, etc.).
