Position: Production & Estimation Manager -Furniture and Interiors

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role in the furniture production/interiors industry at LAKDI in New Delhi. The manager will be responsible for ensuring that all furniture production processes meet the highest standards of quality. This includes overseeing production, monitoring output, handling customer audits, maintaining quality documentation, and coordinating with the production team to ensure that products meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Standards & Compliance: Ensure all production processes meet company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Production Monitoring: Oversee the output from operators to ensure efficient use of raw materials and adherence to quality standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Ensure the proper handling and maintenance of machines to avoid downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Material Utilization: Monitor the efficient use of raw materials to maximize output and minimize wastage.
  • Product Quality Checks: Regularly check production output against specifications to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Customer Audits: Handle customer audits and prepare detailed reports on findings, ensuring any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Quality Testing: Collect samples during production and perform required testing to ensure product quality meets company and customer standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and quality control procedures, and submit reports to senior management.
  • BOQ Management: Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for production.
  • Contractor & Service Provider Management: Manage relationships with contractors and service providers to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure all production activities are managed effectively to guarantee on-time shipping of orders.

Qualifications:

  • 7-15 years of relevant experience in quality control within the furniture production or interiors industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in handling customer audits and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Proficiency in quality testing methods and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of BOQ preparation.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
