Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes, ensuring optimum productivity, quality, and efficiency. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet customer delivery timelines

• Supervise and guide production supervisors and line operators

• Monitor production KPIs (output, quality, efficiency, downtime) and take corrective actions

• Coordinate with planning, purchase, stores, and quality departments for smooth operations

• Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and other process improvement initiatives

• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental compliance in the factory

• Analyze and reduce manufacturing costs while improving productivity

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules are followed

• Lead daily production meetings and generate MIS reports for management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)

• 3 - 5 years of experience in production management in a manufacturing industry

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

• Proficient in production planning, resource allocation, and performance management

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and manufacturing KPIs

• Understanding of quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.) and lean principles

• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement practical solutions

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in metal, engineering, or automotive manufacturing industries

• Certified in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar production methodologies

• Hands-on experience with plant automation or digital manufacturing systems
