Job Description

Hi, I'm Arpana D.R, your Recruiter and guide to joining CSG! We are excited to learn more about you and your unique background.The Product Owner II is the Feature authority for their team(s). The Product Owner II works closely with internal stakeholders such as Senior Product Owners, Product Management or Client Services, as well as external stakeholders, to understand the Feature Acceptance Criteria and ensure the overall implementation provides the intended value. They are responsible for defining individual Stories based on the Feature Acceptance Criteria and for prioritizing team’s general backlog.

We are looking for a Product Owner II who will:

  • Preparation and Participation in PI Planning
  • Receives Feature Solution Document requirements from Product Management or Senior Product Owner.
  • With the support of the Senior Product Owner or Value Stream Architect, identifies Feature enablement work and communicates that to the team.
  • Meets with their team(s) to expand the FSD with team-level details Stories and dependencies. Provides clarification necessary to assist the team with their story estimates.
  • Is responsible for updating FSDs to reflect scope changes that were communicated to them.
  • Coordinates with Senior Product Owner or Product Management to get alignment before adjusting the backlog priorities.
  • Is responsible for adding detailed Story acceptance criteria prior to any team discussions.
  • Iteration Planning for their assigned team, leads iteration planning meetings and is the main source for story detail and priorities.
  • Just-in-Time Story Elaboration.
  • Based on cross-team discussions or guidance from a Senior PO or PM, ensures their team is leveraging valid test data and UI designs.
  • Escalates relevant Feature/Story changes to a Senior Product Owner or Product Management.
  • For their assigned team(s), is responsible for answering real-time questions from the team and coordinating with UX resources to update designs.
  • For cross-team features, is responsible for ensuring their team(s) component delivers the intended functionality.
  • For their assigned team(s), makes time for Story demos and provides final acceptance of the Story.
  • Understanding of Work Enablement.
  • Understands the Stories for the next iteration and identifies enablement work necessary so that the team can effectively execute on the upcoming Stories.
  • Keeps the Senior PO or Value Stream Architect informed regarding results from the enablement work.
  • Is responsible for updating the System DEG and informing Senior POs and PM about any major system changes.
  • Is responsible for reviewing Feature Overviews in the Release Notes
  • Participates in bi-weekly System Demos Inspection and Adaptability Works within their team(s) to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Understands and adheres to all applicable regulations, laws (including the Bank Secrecy Act), card association rule, CSG Security and Compliance standards as referenced in internal policies and procedures including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Code of Conduct, and other corporate policies. Keeps abreast of all applicable regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.
  • Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who has:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years IT experience
  • 3-5 years Product Owner experience with managing teams developing on any of the following technologies: JSON-based APIs, .NET, AngularJS, native IOS or Android. Experience working in an Agile development environment and managing iteration-level deliverables
  • Product Owner experience with B2C and B2B applications
  • Product Owner experience with remote teams
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and managing iteration-level deliverables.
  • Track record of successful delivery of medium and large scale software development projects to production.
  • Proven willingness to be flexible and demonstrate collaboration with internal and external team members.   
  • Ability to organize and influence customers and internal team members.   
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.   
  • Ability to document both technical details such as data flow diagrams or system integrations as well as document functional requirements in terms of user acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to work with strong and dynamic personalities across various organizations including product management, development, and quality assurance. 
  • Ability to use a personal computer.  Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.  
  • Preferred-CSPO certification
