The Manager, Offering and Portfolio Marketing is a management role, responsible for introducing new organizational products and/or services and/or enhanced products or services to the external marketplace.This role ensures that the Sales and GTM function is informed, trained and enabled to sell the relevant company product and/or service.The Manager, Product Offering and Portfolio Marketing is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team of seasoned and developing Product Marketing Specialists to achieve organizational and team objectives whilst fostering a culture of positive attributes, collaboration, and growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Implements a value proposition and messaging strategy for products in the assigned portfolio.
- Analyzes the competitive landscape and identifies the competitive differentiation of company product against competitor products.
- Drives market positioning programs and activities that are product related, thereby clearly positioning the company and the product in the market.
- Oversees and manages the development and distribution of market-facing content and materials.
- Ensures the existence of required communication, training and other collateral that will enable the sales force to sell a particular product.
- Defines the content for and ensure the development of client collateral and sales tools, marketing programs and sales programs.
- Proactively supports sales colleagues by participating in product presentations and demonstrations.
- Collaborates with the Product Management to develop and provide collateral, training and sales incentives that will encourage our sales partners to promote and sell our product.
- Develops product go-to-market programs, initiatives and campaigns to drive awareness, interest and demand for the product.
- Conducts primary market research in the form of competitive, segment and client behavior.
- Contributes to the development of the regional strategy and management of marketing programs that drive the demand for their products.
- Ensures that marketing reviews are conducted to investigate the success of marketing initiatives and programs.
- Ensures that all operational activities comply with organizational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations and general duty of care.
- Provides access to the relevant tools and systems to enable effective team performance.
- Assigns, monitors and coordinates work assignments and activities to the team.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- A deep love of positioning and the written word.
- Strong technical expertise (for interlock with Product management) and in-depth product/service knowledge across (all of) company service lines.
- Service-line specific, as well Cross-Company product / service positioning capabilities.
- Skilled at partnering with senior management in driving business decision-making and product road mapping.
- Excellent and persuasive communicator.
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, senior executives and staff.
- Collaborative and agile leadership style with enterprise-level problem solving abilities.
- Good at tactical implementation.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communication or related field.
Required experience:
- Advanced experience in a product marketing management role preferably in the high-tech industry.
- Advanced experience in launching new high-tech products and communicating benefits.
- Advanced experience managing complex projects and executing on marketing.
- Advanced experience working with ICT solutions.
- Advanced Project Management experience.
- Advanced experience in software or technology B2B product marketing.
- Advanced experience launching new technology products or solutions.
- Advanced experience in conducting market analysis, developing market messaging, and communicating benefits.
- Advanced experience leading and managing a team.
