Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic Product & Market Ownership

  • Domain Authority:

    Own a defined set of product capabilities within the platform, managing a scope with measurable impact on customer workflows, sales effectiveness, and platform competitiveness.
  • Requirements Excellence:

    Decompose complex market needs into high-fidelity functional requirements, workflows, and edge-case mappings.
  • AI-Augmented Productivity:

    Proactively leverage LLMs and AI tools to accelerate the creation of documentation, edge-case discovery, and test coverage.

2. Competitive Strategy & Revenue Impact

  • Competitive Teardowns:

    Maintain a deep pulse on the Martech landscape (HubSpot, Braze, Salesforce, etc.) to identify feature parity gaps and differentiation opportunities.
  • Commercial Validation:

    Ensure every feature built is "commercially compelling," directly addressing deal blockers and strengthening the sales narrative.
  • Revenue Roadmap:

    Proactively propose enhancements with clear business cases linked to customer retention, expansion, or new-logo wins.

3. Functional QA & Release Accountability

  • Final Release Sign-Off:

    Act as the final gatekeeper for quality. No feature ships without your validation that it meets both technical acceptance criteria and real-world business logic.
  • Edge-Case Mastery:

    Identify failure scenarios and "broken" user experiences that automated unit tests might miss.
  • Defect Leadership:

    Partner with Engineering to prioritize bug fixes based on market urgency and customer impact.

4. Cross-Functional Bridge

  • Engineering Synergy:

    Work closely with dev teams in India and the US to resolve ambiguities early, reducing rework and increasing development velocity.
  • Leadership & Pushback:

    Ability to respectfully challenge product, sales, or engineering assumptions when data, customer insight, or market reality demands it.
  • GTM Alignment:

    Partner with Sales and Customer Success to translate new product capabilities into "Why We Win" talk tracks and demo scripts.


Required Qualifications

  • Technical Foundation:

    Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strategic Depth:

    MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree (Strategy, Operations, or Analytics preferred)

    OR

    demonstrable product leadership success in a B2B SaaS / Martech environment.
  • Analytical Rigor:

    Exceptional ability to reason through complex configurations and multi-step user workflows.
  • Communication:

    Elite written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence both developers and C-suite leadership.
  • Ownership Mindset:

    A "no-excuses" approach to outcomes; a willingness to take full accountability for the success (or failure) of a release.

Preferred Experience

  • Direct experience in

    Martech, Adtech, CRM, or Marketing Automation.

  • Experience in a role where you were responsible for competitive benchmarking and roadmap influence.
  • Familiarity with modern product management stacks (Jira, Confluence, AI-productivity tools).

    Engineering velocity increases because requirements are crystal clear and edge-cases are addressed before coding begins.

  4. Strategic Influence:

    You become the "go-to" person for the CEO and Sales team to understand how our product wins in the market.
