Procurement Senior Manager - Buying Enablement
About the Team
Our Assisted Buying Desk is a critical team supporting Global Procurement to achieve its strategic objectives of exceptional buying service through effective and efficient processes.

The Assisted Buying Desk team will work collaboratively with the Global Procurement Category and Regional leads bringing proven methods, and expert capabilities in buying needs, problem solving, data and systems. They, along with the Procurement Strategy & Delivery Leadership Team, will instil a culture of continuous improvement and a Service Excellence mindset. This team will work globally ensuring consistency in the right buying processes and ensure solutions meet the needs locally, where required.
Role Overview
The Procurement Enablement Senior Manager will play a crucial role in driving compliance and efficiency within the purchasing of all mid-tier spend across the organization. This role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the category teams to ensure that all purchases meet internal policy requirements and deliver at optimal speed and cost. The individual will identify process improvement opportunities to improve compliance, savings and process efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of mid-tier spend purchase requests for strategic and complex categories like marketing, IT and professional services.

Define and own the strategy for buying enablement, focusing on speed, cost efficiency, and full compliance with procurement policies

Act as the first level of escalation and decision point for complex buying requests, exceptions, and cross-functional procurement issues

Partner closely with category managers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of enablement processes with sourcing strategies and budget controls into respective categories

Support category/BU team to deliver key strategic programs like supplier consolidation, supplier rationalization, e-sourcing adoption etc

Review and analyze spend data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and compliance improvement

Set team performance metrics such as compliance, turnaround time, customer satisfaction, and cost savings, regularly monitoring progress and leading improvement initiatives

Champion change management and training initiatives to improve policy awareness and adoption of preferred suppliers and digital buying tools

Ensure audit readiness and controls for procurement compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors - Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, related field or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience. Master’s and/or certifications preferred.

9 to 12 years of experience in Procurement with strong domain expertise in understanding of the end-to-end buying cycle, often with experience leading teams

Strong strategic and analytical skills, including market analysis and cost reduction strategies.

Proven expertise in advanced commercial and contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, indirect category management, cost modeling, and supplier persuasion abilities

Strong hands-on experience on Procurement technologies (Ariba Guided Buying is strongly preferred), SLM/vendor master, SAP ECC, S4 HANA, (P2P screens), etc.

Leadership and team management, including mentoring and motivating teams.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing procurement processes and contracts

Demonstrated ability to handle complex issues, manage escalations, and influence stakeholders effectively

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (e.g., PowerPoint and Excel)
