What would you do?
Go beyond processing purchase orders at lower costs to help clients reap savings and value from the billions they spend on the goods and services that run their day-to-day business operations. You will be working as a part of Procurement management team which uses a systematic approach for buying all the goods and services needed for a company to stay sustainable. They are involved in the identification of need, finding and qualifying the suppliers, requesting proposals, negotiating with suppliers, contracting, delivery and analyzing results.
- Execute purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and order confirmations in line with approved sourcing strategies and budgets.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders (Planning, Finance, Operations) to ensure on-time delivery and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate data in SAP / Ariba including vendor records, material codes, pricing, and delivery information.
- Support category teams in conducting spend analysis, price benchmarking, and supplier performance tracking.
- Understand when & how to use a request for proposal (price and non-price factors) and RFQ (price only) and how to develop, execute and analyze the results. Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative information to assess, screen and select suppliers.
- Monitor PO status, manage open order reports, and proactively follow up on delays or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Support RFQ / RFP execution for tactical buys, including bid evaluation and supplier communication.
- Assist in cost savings tracking and contribute to value improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve invoice mismatches and GR/IR issues.
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and data accuracy improvement in purchasing activities. What are we looking for? As a Procurement and Purchasing Specialist, you will support end-to-end sourcing and purchasing operations across multiple spend categories. You will ensure timely, compliant, and value-driven purchasing execution while collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost, quality, and service excellence.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM / Ariba or equivalent procurement platforms.
- Strong command of Excel for data analysis and reporting (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Understanding of procurement policies, category management basics, and supplier management.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and follow-through.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Exposure to global procurement operations or shared service environments.
- Familiarity with contract management, supplier onboarding, and compliance tracking.
- Knowledge of basic cost structures and should-cost logic for tactical negotiation support.
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing sectors preferred.
- In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of lower-complexity problems
- Your day to day interaction is with peers within Accenture before updating supervisors
- In this role you may have limited exposure with clients and/or Accenture management
- You will be given moderate level instruction on daily work tasks and detailed instructions on new assignments
