Role Summary

The Procurement Lead – Perishable & Agro Products will be responsible for leading the sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations. This role will develop and execute procurement strategies to assure quality supply, cost efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for perishable and agro products

• Identify, onboard, and manage supplier relationships, focusing on farm-level and wholesale sourcing, including import and export operations.

• Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing to achieve optimal value and reliability.

• Monitor market trends, pricing, and regulatory landscape to anticipate risks and identify new sourcing opportunities.

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities including order placement, inventory control, logistics, and timely delivery of goods.

• Ensure supply chain compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with internal departments including sales, finance, operations, and quality

• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and systems for efficiency and cost savings.

• Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering best practices, performance, and professional growth

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture

• 5-6 Years of experience in procurement or supply chain management of perishable and agro products, preferably in food service, manufacturing, or agri-business

• Strong negotiation, vendor development, and contract management skills.

• Proficiency in procurement, inventory management, and vendor assessment tools.

• Knowledge of Indian agri-markets, commodity trends, quality grading, and regulatory standards. • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
