Job Title: Procurement Executive – Forest Honey

Experience : 2 - 3 Years

Salary Slab : 20 k - 28 k per month

Reports To: Procurement Manager / Head – Supply Chain

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Executive – Forest Honey to manage sourcing, vendor development, and supply chain operations for our forest honey division. The role involves field engagement with honey collectors, SHGs, FPOs, and cooperatives across tribal and rural regions, ensuring consistent procurement of premium-quality honey varieties while maintaining sustainability and fair-trade practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing:
• Source forest honey varieties (Apis cerana, rock bee, stingless bee, etc.) from tribal clusters, cooperatives, and SHGs.
• Develop vendor networks and seasonal procurement strategies across Nagaland, Meghalaya, MP, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and other regions.
• Conduct market research on pricing trends, demand patterns, and emerging honey clusters.
• Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, organic, and export certification norms.
• Maintain full traceability of batches (region, collector, type of bee).
• Support certification processes for organic, fair-trade, and export approvals.
• Logistics & Supply Chain:
• Coordinate aggregation, storage, and timely dispatch of honey.
• Optimize transport routes and costs to ensure efficiency with minimal wastage.
• Maintain procurement dashboards and inventory records.
• Community & Vendor Engagement:
• Build strong relationships with tribal honey hunters, SHGs, and cooperatives.
• Conduct training/support programs for sustainable harvesting and storage.
• Represent the company in cluster-level meetings and government forums.
• Financial & Reporting:
• Track procurement costs vs. budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly procurement reports.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management (preferably in agri-commodities/forest produce/food & beverages).
• Strong knowledge of forest produce supply chains & certifications (FSSAI, organic, export standards).
• Excellent negotiation, vendor engagement, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office / ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively to rural/tribal areas.
• Strong communication in Hindi & English (regional language knowledge is an advantage).

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / Agriculture / Food Technology (preferred).
• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.

• Procurement volume achieved vs. plan.
• % of honey batches passing quality/compliance checks.
• Procurement cost savings vs. budget.
• Strength of active vendor/community partnerships.
• Sustainability & ethical sourcing compliance.
