Job Title: Annotation Lead Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Experience Required: 6+ years in data annotation (minimum 3 years with LiDAR), 3+ years in team management Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Annotation Lead with a strong background in data annotation, team leadership, and LiDAR data processing . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing annotation projects, ensuring data quality, adhering to project timelines, and guiding a team of annotators to deliver accurate and high-quality annotated datasets for machine learning and AI application. Key Responsibilities: Annotation and Labelling Oversee and participate in accurate annotation and labeling of various data types including images, LiDAR point clouds, text, and audio . Ensure precise tagging and classification as per detailed project guidelines. LiDAR Expertise Apply in-depth knowledge of LiDAR data to annotate 2D/3D objects, semantic segmentation, and spatial relationships. Maintain up-to-date understanding of LiDAR tools, techniques, and best practices. Team Leadership Manage and mentor a team of annotators, setting performance benchmarks and conducting regular reviews. Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to quality and productivity standards. Train new team members on tools, guidelines, and processes. Quality Assurance Review and audit annotations to ensure consistency and accuracy. Identify errors, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions. Establish and refine QA workflows and checklists. Process Adherence Ensure compliance with annotation guidelines and standards. Communicate updates or clarifications in instructions to the team efficiently. Project Management Track project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Collaborate with Project Managers and QA teams to meet business objectives. Communication & Reporting Maintain effective internal communication and documentation. Share weekly reports on team productivity, quality metrics, and project status. Tool & Technology Usage Utilize annotation tools (such as Labelbox, CVAT, Supervisely, or similar) and LiDAR platforms proficiently. Provide input on tool enhancements or process improvements. Adaptability & Learning Stay updated with emerging trends in annotation, labeling, and LiDAR. Embrace new tools, techniques, or domains as required by the project. Confidentiality Ensure strict data privacy and confidentiality compliance, especially when dealing with proprietary or sensitive datasets. POC & Presales Costing Conduct time & motion analysis to estimate annotation effort, throughput, and resource allocation for accurate project scoping. Collaborate with presales teams to prepare cost models and delivery plans aligned with client expectations and use case complexity. Lead successful POC executions by setting up workflows, quality benchmarks, and delivering sample outputs to convert leads into long-term projects. •Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of annotation experience, with at least 3 years in LiDAR annotation . Proven experience managing annotation teams (minimum 3 years). Excellent English Communication Skill written & verbal Experience of client and vendor communication Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Familiarity with annotation tools and platforms. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
