Job Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned
PMO Manager
with strong expertise in
resource allocation and bench management
across large engineering teams. The ideal candidate would have strong experience managing allocation across diverse technical skill sets. This role is critical to ensuring optimal utilization of resources, proactive bench planning, and alignment of people with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead resource allocation and workforce planning across 500+ engineering and development resources.
- Own bench management strategy – proactively forecast and minimize bench time, ensuring resources are effectively deployed.
- Partner with delivery leaders, project managers, and HR to optimize staffing and meet project demands.
- Monitor resource utilization metrics, identify gaps, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Drive capacity planning and demand forecasting in alignment with business growth and project pipeline.
- Manage full-cycle contractor resources onboarding/offboarding with efficient utilization
- Ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding of resources into projects with minimal disruption.
- Provide regular reports and dashboards to leadership on utilization, bench strength, and forecasted needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in resource planning efficiency and delivery predictability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of overall experience with minimum 4+ years in PMO/resource management roles.
- Proven experience managing resource allocation for 500+ engineers/developers.
- Deep understanding of bench management, forecasting, and demand-supply balancing.
- Proficiency in PMO tools and BI/reporting tools
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, scaling environment with competing priorities.
