Resort Operations Manager (Wayanad Properties)

Resort Operations Manager

Responsibilities
  • Overall Resort Operations Management:

    Lead and manage all aspects of resort operations across six properties, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and recreational activities.
  • Strategic Leadership & Team Management:

    Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor a high-performing team. Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across all departments.
  • Guest Experience Excellence:

    Champion guest satisfaction by ensuring the highest standards of service are consistently met. Promptly address and resolve any guest concerns or operational challenges.
  • Financial Performance:

    Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for all properties. Implement strategies to control costs, maximize revenue, and analyze financial reports to ensure profitability.
  • Property Upkeep & Standards:

    Oversee the regular maintenance and upkeep of all resort facilities, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and aesthetic standards.
  • Reservation Management (Specific Focus):

  • Directly manage all incoming reservations for all six properties

    , ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service

    for all reservation inquiries, modifications, and cancellations via phone, email, and online channels.
  • Utilize reservation software and property management systems (PMS)

    to track bookings, manage room availability, and process payments.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and revenue management teams

    to implement effective pricing strategies, special offers, and promotions.
  • Generate detailed reservation reports

    to track performance, identify trends, and provide insights for future forecasting.
  • Communication & Reporting:

    Maintain open and effective communication channels with all department heads, staff, and senior management. Provide regular updates and reports on operational performance and reservation trends.
  • Policy Implementation:

    Develop, implement, and enforce resort policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations, compliance with regulations, and consistent service delivery.
  • Vendor Relationships:

    Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring the quality of procured services and goods.
Qualifications

  • Leadership & Management Skills:

    Exceptional leadership, team-building, and motivational skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and empower staff.
  • Communication Skills:

    Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Malayalam. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen:

    Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue management.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    Advanced computer skills, including extensive experience with resort management systems, property management systems (PMS), reservation software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Customer Service Excellence:

    A genuine passion for delivering superior guest experiences and a proven track record in achieving high guest satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving:

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Flexibility:

    Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business demands.
  • Local Knowledge:

    Familiarity with the Wayanad region and its unique tourism landscape is a significant advantage.
  • Education:

    A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
