To strengthen our operational backbone, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who can oversee daily logistics operations and ensure service excellence.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing day-to-day logistics and transportation activities. This role involves managing fleet operations, driver allocations, route optimization, and client service delivery while ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities1. Logistics & Fleet Management

• Supervise day-to-day transportation activities including vehicle allocation, route planning, and delivery scheduling.
• Ensure optimal utilization of trucks, drivers, and resources.
• Monitor fleet performance, reduce idle time, and improve turnaround efficiency.

2. Team & Driver Management

• Lead, train, and motivate drivers, ground staff, and operations executives.
• Resolve operational challenges and driver-related issues promptly.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with transport regulations.

3. Client Service & Coordination

• Act as the point of contact for key clients to ensure service quality and timely deliveries.
• Handle escalations and resolve operational bottlenecks effectively.
• Coordinate with the sales and customer support teams for smooth client onboarding and execution.

4. Process Optimization & Cost Control

• Implement SOPs for logistics and operational workflows.
• Optimize costs related to fuel, maintenance, and fleet utilization.
• Track KPIs such as turnaround time, on-time delivery, and cost per trip.

5. Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure adherence to labor laws, RTO regulations, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate MIS reports, daily logs, and operational dashboards for management.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate / MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in logistics/transport operations (preferably in fleet/trucking industry).
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, route planning, and transport regulations.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and logistics management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, Hindi, and Odia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,853.57 - ₹42,681.85 per month
