Occupational Health Nurse

Require a female Occupational Health Nurse at Serilingampally(Raidurgam), Hyderabad.

Overall Purpose of The Job (Brief description of the primary purpose of this position) Nurse – Corporate Clinic

Key Responsibilities

 Providing primary outpatient care, basic emergency medical care on the site to stabilize the patient, limited diagnostic testing and assist in patient transfer by ambulance to designated medical facility.

 Administer first aid and treat minor illnesses independently.

 Provide nursing consultations and determine which cases need further consultation with site physician.  Conduct hygiene inspections, infection control audits at a pre-determined frequency

 Ensure consultation rooms and ER are in appropriate condition.

 Check all emergency equipment and ensure that they are in working condition.

 Check all drugs and disposables inventory and ensure that none of these are beyond the expiry dates.

 Documentation of all medical cases and ensure correct and proper storage of medical records.  Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director-MS. DUTIES AND SERVICES Patient Related

 Provide routine nursing consultations as well as emergency care as independent nurse.

 Provide primary care treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.

 Perform post-health Check consultations for eligible employees.

 Provide basic Diagnostic testing as required

 Dispense medication as directed by site Physician

 Consult for unstable patients such as head injuries, chest pain etc;

 Organization of any referral specialist consultation and treatment for patients if required. Staff Communication, Support & Training

 Maintain a professional and supportive attitude towards all site staff.  Maintain effective communication processes with all site staff.

 Train and mentor new staff on services and processes to be followed at the clinic

 Foster a positive attitude amongst staff and teams. Reporting

 Maintaining the accuracy and deadlines for completion of all required reports and data.

 Maintain records and reports for all allocated responsibilities to ensure accountability and availability of information. Inventory Maintenance & Control

 Ensure accuracy of site inventories is maintained in all areas Version V1.1 Apr 2025 For International SOS Internal Use

 Development and maintenance of standard site inventories with agreed processes for justification of ordering medications and disposables outside of standard inventory

 Maintain assets on site, both client and Intl. SOS, ensure that asset register is being maintained and duly updated.  Ensure proper reporting of equipment movement beyond the applicable serviceability as mentioned in the manufacturer's booklet.

 Ensure calibration of equipment with help from Operations team Documentation / Communication

 Attend, contribute to and report medical services activity at management meetings.

 Ensure that all other documentation to support activities is maintained as required by inventory, stock, accounting or administration needs.

 Ensure that all patient case documentation is maintained as required

 Ensure that all procedures, policies and company information are maintained to the latest date issued in accordance with the Continuous Quality Improvement policy.

 Ensure that the patient satisfaction survey is implemented

 Provide any other tasks or responsibilities that may from time to time be requested by Operations Manager - Medical Services. General

 Ensure that medical facilities are maintained to an operational standard of professional excellence.  Ensure that all staff aware of, and comply with, daily operating and internal procedures.

 Participate in periodic meetings of medical and administration staff as directed by the Medical Director and/or Operations Manager - Medical Services to report on and discuss issues relating to the operation and improvement of services and activities.  Ensure delivery of Health Promotion programs as directed by Medical Director Other Duties  To ensure compliance to the Medical Services Standards of practice and provider management.

 Attend weekly and/or daily meetings of Medical Services and administration staff as directed by the Manager to report on and discuss issues relating to the operation and improvement of services and activities.

 To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager.

 To work within and promote all Intl. SOS’s policies and procedures.

C. Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities

 Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace.  Undertake all mandatory OH&S training as required.  Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies, procedures or safe work practices given by Intl. SOS in adhering to safe work procedures.  Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.  Take reasonable care to ensure their own health and safety and the safety of others.  To report any injury, hazard or illness as soon as possible to their supervisor.

 Good computer software skills, specifically - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database software and internet usage.

 Knowledge of the specific functions of support departments.

 Experience – Minimum 3 years in a hospital/clinical setting. Experience in primary GP care essential.

 Minimum – Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent

 Valid Registration with the Nursing Council
