About the Company

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network L1 Support Engineer in Navi Mumbai, India. The role involves providing first-line technical support for network-related issues, ensuring smooth operations, and escalating complex incidents to higher-level support when necessary. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices.
  • Provide first-level support for network incidents, connectivity issues, and user queries.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity problems.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 engineers or vendors with detailed logs and documentation.
  • Monitor network performance using tools and generate reports as required.
  • Assist in implementing routine changes, updates, and patch management on network devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network incidents, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
  • Provide support for end-users on connectivity and access-related problems.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure timely resolution of service requests and incidents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–3 years of experience in IT/network support roles.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices (preferred).
  • Familiarity with firewalls, VPN, and wireless technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including weekends if required.


Preferred Skills

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent.
  • CompTIA Network+ or similar entry-level networking certifications.
