Job Summary As an OpenStack Administrator, you will be responsible for administration, configuration, deploying, installation and maintaining OpenStack infrastructure. About the job Location: Remote (Need basis visit to office location) Location: Offshore Detailed Job Description Key Responsibilities • Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack environments using Kolla-Ansible and TripleO. • Design, deploy, and maintain Ceph storage clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. • Manage block storage (Cinder), file storage (Manila), and object storage (such as Ceph RGW/S3, Swift, or equivalent). • Maintain and optimize OpenStack control plane and compute resources for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift. • Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. • Integrate OpenStack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions. • Participate in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and application deployments. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures. • Support capacity planning, incident management, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues. Required Skills & Qualifications • 7–10 years of hands-on OpenStack experience, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. • Proven experience deploying OpenStack using Kolla-Ansible (container-based deployment) and TripleO (bare-metal deployment). • Relevant 3–5 years of experience with containerization technologies, primarily Docker. • Relevant 2–3 years of experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift administration. • Proficiency in Ceph storage setup and management for block, file, and object storage (S3, Swift, or equivalent). • Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management. • Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu). • Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments (VLANs, VXLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing). • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows. • RHCE certified. Good-to-Have Skills • Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana. • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash. • Understanding of cloud security best practices. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
