Role Overview

monitoring, managing, and maintaining telecom and optical network infrastructure

Network Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor network elements and links using

  NMS (Network Management System)

  and

  EMS (Element Management System)

  tools.
• Identify faults, performance issues, and alarms on

  GPON / MPLS / DWDM / SDH

  networks.
• Escalate critical network incidents to L2/L3 engineers and coordinate with field teams for restoration.
• Maintain real-time visibility of uptime, link utilization, and device health.

Incident & Problem Management

• Log and track all incidents in the

  OSS (Operational Support System)

  or ticketing platform.
• Analyze network outages, identify root causes, and recommend preventive actions.
• Ensure SLA adherence for incident resolution and reporting.

Configuration & Maintenance

• Assist in the configuration and provisioning of

  OLT, ONT, Routers, Switches, and Core Devices

  .
• Support firmware upgrades, backups, and network configuration documentation.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors (e.g., Huawei, Nokia, Tejas, Cisco, Ciena) for troubleshooting and TAC support.
