  • Apply IT best practices including ITIL, ITSM, SDLC, or other standard industry methodologies.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, work extended hours/weekends as needed, and travel domestically/internationally (up to 10–15%) for business or data center needs.

Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a similar capacity (network engineering).
  • Proficiency in advanced routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS).
  • Experience with firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, or similar), VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols.
  • Experience planning, deploying, and troubleshooting WAN, firewalls, LAN, DNS, VLANs, static/dynamic IP addressing, remote and point-to-point VPNs in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud network security best practices.
  • Ability to install networking equipment and work within data centers and networking closets.
  • Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SANs).
  • Familiarity with load balancing solutions and optimizing network traffic.
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, communicate, and effectively work through tasks, issues, and projects.
