We are now looking for a skilled Technical Writer to create clear, precise, and user-focused content that enhances product adoption, enables self-service, and supports both customers and internal teams.
Role Overview
As a Technical Writer at Motadata, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining high-quality documentation for enterprise-grade products. You will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, QA, support, and marketing to ensure all documentation aligns with product functionality, usability, and business goals. Your work will directly impact user experience, product adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Product Documentation :
- Develop and maintain user guides, installation manuals, configuration documents, API references, and integration instructions.
- Ensure technical accuracy by collaborating with engineers, architects, and QA teams.
Knowledge Base & Help Center
- Create and manage structured, searchable knowledge base content for end-users and administrators.
- Write troubleshooting guides and FAQs that help reduce support tickets.
Release Notes & Change Logs
- Collaborate with product and QA teams to draft precise release notes capturing new features, bug fixes, enhancements, and deprecations.
Technical Marketing & Enablement Content
- Contribute to solution briefs, product highlights, use-case guides, and training material for internal and external stakeholders.
Content Quality & Governance
- Standardize tone, structure, and terminology across all content.
- Define and improve templates, style guides, and documentation frameworks.
- Review, edit, and audit existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and usability.
What Were Looking For
Experience: 24 years of technical writing experience in IT, SaaS, or enterprise software domains.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with at least some of the following areas:
- IT Infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, virtualization)
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Monitoring & Observability (logs, metrics, traces)
- ITSM workflows and tools
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Git, Jira, Markdown, or equivalent).
Bonus Skills
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, YAML/JSON, or scripting basics.
- Experience in Agile/sprint-based environments.
- Exposure to observability or monitoring tools (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, IT automation).
- Visual documentation skills (Lucidchart, Draw.io, diagramming tools).
