About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the interior design firm’s services, strengthening the brand, generating leads, and supporting the sales pipeline. You’ll work closely with design, sales, and execution teams to ensure the marketing activities reflect the firm’s aesthetics, quality and client positionings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaign plans aligned with the firm’s business goals.
Build and maintain the firm’s brand identity: ensure consistency of visuals, tone, messaging across website, social media, print materials, presentations.
Manage digital marketing channels: social media (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook), email marketing, SEO/SEM, PPC as relevant.
Create marketing content: client case-studies, project portfolios, blogs/posts, newsletters, videos/photos of completed projects, press features.
Conduct market research: understand target segments (residential HE, commercial, hospitality), competitor firms, trends in interior design, materials, finishes and client expectations.
Generate and nurture leads: coordinate with sales/business development to convert leads; maintain CRM or lead-tracking system; follow up with prospects.
Coordinate offline marketing: events, exhibitions, tie-ups with architects, real estate brokers, developers; client-interaction forums, design seminars.
Monitor, measure & report on campaign performance: track key metrics (traffic, leads, conversions, social engagement) and optimize marketing spend/efforts.
Collaborate with design/execution teams: ensure marketing collateral reflects actual service offerings, project quality, design aesthetics; assist in photo-shoots of completed projects.
Assist with proposals & presentations: support sales team with branded pitch decks, marketing collateral that showcases firm’s strengths and differentiators.
Manage budget (if relevant) for marketing activities; ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Stay updated on industry developments: materials, design trends, digital marketing trends specific to interior architecture/design.
Required Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
Good exposure (internship or 1-2 years) in marketing, preferably within interior design / architecture / real estate / home-improvement sectors.
Strong digital marketing knowledge: social media marketing, content creation, SEO/SEM, analytics tools.
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills – ability to craft compelling content, liaise with designers, vendors, architects, clients.
A good eye for design, aesthetics, visual presentation – because marketing an interior design service demands understanding of design language, finishes, style.
Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks/campaigns, good time-management.
Data-driven mindset: ability to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize.
Familiarity with basic design software/tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) and marketing tools (Google Analytics, social media dashboards) is a plus.
Creative thinker, able to craft fresh marketing ideas targeted to design-savvy clients.
Collaborative team-player who works well with designers, sales, execution teams.
Proactive and self-driven: able to initiate marketing activities and follow them through.
Client-oriented: conscious of the firm’s brand image and client experience.
Adaptable in a dynamic environment: interior design projects can vary widely, so marketing has to pivot accordingly.
Work Conditions & Environment
Office based, with visits to project sites (for photography, content gathering) as required.
Some field/outdoor work may be needed: networking events, exhibitions, vendor meet-ups.
Work hours: Standard office hours, though marketing campaigns/events may require extra hours or weekend involvement.
Salary & Benefits Salary
depends on experience, location, size of the firm. Examples in India show for Marketing Executive roles: 3-4 LPA for 1-3 yrs experience. Olibr+1
