Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Supply Chain & Capacity Building will be responsible for strengthening Kar Parivartan’s supply chain ecosystem for recycling & waste collection while also driving training, awareness, and capacity-building initiatives for stakeholders. This role demands strong operational management skills, relationship-building abilities, and a passion for sustainability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

• Oversee and manage the collection, aggregation, and channelization of waste in compliance with EPR guidelines.
• Build and maintain partnerships with recyclers, and aggregators.
• Ensure timely execution of collection and recycling targets as per CPCB/SPCB regulations.
• Track supply chain performance through MIS, dashboards, and reporting systems.
• Negotiate vendor contracts, monitor SLAs, and resolve operational challenges.
• Support in developing transparent, scalable, and traceable supply chain systems.

Capacity Building

• Design and implement capacity-building programs for stakeholders (PIBOs, recyclers, waste collectors, and channel partners).
• Collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, and industry associations to build awareness of EPR compliance.
• Develop knowledge resources, toolkits, and communication material to strengthen ecosystem awareness.
• Monitor effectiveness of programs and prepare reports on impact and improvements.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Braced with experience in

  EPR guidelines, waste management systems, and PRO operations

• Experience in

  supply chain/logistics/vendor management

  for plastic waste management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, training, and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to manage data, performance indicators, and reporting.
• Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM, MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word); exposure to MIS/ERP tools preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 3–6 years of experience in

  creating, vendor network management and waste management.

• Prior experience in a

  PRO, recycling, compliance, or sustainability domain

  will be essential.
