Job Summary:

Sambodhi Research and Communications Private Limited is seeking a research professional to manage research, monitoring, and evaluation projects in the agriculture and livelihoods domain. The role requires the ability to interpret research and evaluation designs and a clear grasp of how evaluations are planned, carried out, and used. The candidate is expected to stay updated with global literature and emerging M&E methods. The position also involves stakeholder management, working with government partners, donors, and implementing agencies.

Essential Functions

Project Management & Coordination

• Lead for Client/ Stakeholder interactions.
• Overall coordination of projects including client liaison, coordination with field, data and support teams at various levels
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate resource plans for project activities detailing human, financial, and time requirements
• Contribute to the timely submission of all key deliverables.

Research Design & Methodology

• Providing inputs to the development of survey methodology.
• Development, pre-testing and finalization of data collection instruments and protocols
• Implement sampling strategy including sample distribution

Field Operations & Data Collection

• Travel extensively to different project and field locations for monitoring of data collection and field activities
• Conduct field practice and debriefing sessions for field teams

Data Management & Analysis

• Collate data and prepare comprehensive data analysis plans and protocols
• Analyze data using appropriate software programs viz. SPSS, STATA, SAS, EXCEL, CS Pro, EPI etc.

Report Writing and Knowledge Product Dissemination

• Provide inputs and reviews for writing and dissemination of knowledge products.
• Prepare detailed reports to document research findings
• Develop learning products for internal and external dissemination

Desired profile

Education

Post-graduate Degree in economics/statistics/public policy or a related discipline from Premier Universities

Experience

7-12 years of work experience in Research and M&E.

Personal competencies

• Fluency with both quantitative and qualitative research
• Professional fluency in oral and written English. Spoken Hindi required, other regional language(s) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of MS office, STATA, or other statistical packages for data analysis
• Willing to travel across different geographies
• Interested in writing and creative visualization
