Role Overview:


The role involves strategic programme management, stakeholder engagement, field implementation oversight to ensure quality focused, impactful delivery of social development initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, extensive travel, and the ability to drive operational excellence in dynamic environments.


Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:


Project Leadership & Management


● Lead the end-to-end planning, implementation, and monitoring of the programs across assigned geographies.

● Translate program objectives into actionable plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

● Ensure adherence to project goals, budgets, and compliance standards.

● Track and manage overall program performance through robust MIS and Dashboards.


Client & Stakeholder Management


● Coordinate with the client leadership team and cross-functional teams.

● Maintain strong, transparent communication and ensure timely reporting, updates, and reviews.

● Build collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders — government departments, education authorities, and implementation partners.


Travel, On-Ground Implementation & Co-ordination


● Undertake extensive travel to project locations for end-to-end execution of projects, on-ground assessments, partner meetings, audits and stakeholder engagements ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and adherence to budgets.

● Monitor the quality and consistency of field execution across multiple states / partners.

● Design and enforce field audit mechanisms to ensure program efficiency and accountability.

● Identify implementation bottlenecks early and drive corrective actions swiftly.


Team Management


● Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams (regional coordinators, field trainers, community mobilizers).

● Conduct performance reviews and ensure alignment with program goals.

● Facilitate regular team meetings and capacity-building sessions to ensure high morale and delivery quality.


Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)


● Collaborate with internal data teams to design and refine monitoring tools and impact indicators.

● Analyze data to generate insights, flag risks, and inform strategic decision-making.

● Document best practices and success stories for donor communications and reporting.


Reporting & Documentation


● Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefs for internal and client review.

● Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, outcomes, and financial

utilization.

● Support the communication team with content for program highlights and impact showcases.


Risk & Quality Management


● Proactively identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.

● Ensure all program activities adhere to quality standards, safety norms, and compliance frameworks.


Innovation & Continuous Improvement


● Contribute to the design and scaling of innovative delivery models and digital interventions in line with Tarq’s vision and mission.

● Bring insights from the field to refine program strategy and improve impact delivery.


Who You Are (Ideal Candidate Profile):


● A postgraduate in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Education, Rural Development, or related field.

● 5 - 7 years of experience in programme management within CSR, NGOs, or government projects.

● Proven experience in managing large scale multi-state projects.

● Strong project management, budget management and operational planning skills.

● Excellent reporting, documentation, and presentation skills.

● Strong leadership and team management capabilities with high accountability.

● Willingness to travel across project locations.
