Manager Procurement

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier & Farmer Network Management

● Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, vendors, and farmer groups for

commodity procurement.

● Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, FPOs (Farmer Producer

Organizations), aggregators, and traders to ensure a steady and quality supply of

produce.

● Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, ensuring cost optimization and

fair trade practices.

● Conduct periodic supplier audits to assess compliance with quality, sustainability, and

regulatory standards.

2. Commodity Sourcing & Procurement Operations

● Collaborate with field teams to track crop cycles, yield forecasts, and procurement

planning.

● Ensure timely procurement of raw materials to align with processing schedules and

market demand.

● Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, invoices, and compliance

documentation.

3. Cost & Budget Optimization

● Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to make

informed procurement decisions.

● Implement cost-reduction strategies by identifying alternative sourcing options and

optimizing transportation costs.

● Track procurement expenditures and suggest cost-saving initiatives while maintaining

product quality.

4. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

● Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless

inventory management and transportation.

● Plan and coordinate logistics to ensure the smooth and cost-effective movement of

goods from farms to processing units or buyers.

● Monitor stock levels and minimize wastage or shortages through efficient procurement

planning.

5. Data Management & Reporting

● Maintain and update supplier databases, procurement reports, and transaction records

for transparency and compliance.

● Track and report key procurement metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance,

and order fulfillment rates.

● Use data insights to drive procurement efficiencies and strategic decision-making.

6. Team Management & Coordination

● Lead and manage a procurement team, ensuring effective delegation, training, and

performance monitoring.

● Foster teamwork and collaboration with field officers, agronomists, and operations staff

for efficient procurement execution.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
