The position
As Manager in the Detailed Production Scheduling team, at Novo Nordisk, you will:Plays a central role in effective production management. You are responsible to balance customer demand with production resources, optimize production processes, minimize costs, and maintain a high level of customer service.Evaluate new Sales Orders / Process Orders in terms of sufficient capacity and feasibility according to existing production- and purchase plans. Decide best possible fit to existing plans, taking stock levels, available capacity, and availability of ingoing components into consideration. Ensure continuous engagement in dialogue with local “Flow Manager” (GBS point of contact to the local site) and Country Supply Chain Responsible to ensure timely communication in terms of delays to Sales Orders or in cases with significant stock level impacts.
- Ensure the creation of production plans for all relevant production levels in an agreed horizon with the production areas within appointed responsibility.
- Ensure team is providing sequenced and levelled production plan once a week, taking stock levels, available capacity, and availability of ingoing components into consideration.
- Ensure the team is performing batch allocation / determination and release process orders for production daily. Ensure the team is engaged in providing reports for local investigation when Process Orders within Production responsibility and QM lots are past due.
- Continuously engage in dialogue with Site, Master Production Scheduling to ensure timely rescheduling of upcoming plans in cases with delays or faster execution in active production plans and release processes.
- Ensure the Maintenance of planning relevant Master Data and evaluation of Master Data quality. Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of the scheduling process.
- Lead the planning and scheduling team in a way which creates clear career paths for colleagues within both the business and provides development opportunities through training, support and mentoring.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or Business Administration.
- 10+ years of operational and strategic experience in supply chain and offshoring.
- Expertise in planning and scheduling for complex manufacturing operations.
- Leadership skills and business acumen to lead and manage teams.
- Experience in embedding cultural change and driving continuous improvement.
- Executive-level communication and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead collaborative groups.
- Aptitude for creating and driving strategies and addressing root causes.
