Job Description

I. Job Summary / Overview

  • Drive business growth, increase revenue, and expand the company’s market presence
  • Identify new business opportunities and execute growth strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations) to meet organizational goals

II. Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify new markets, clients, and business opportunities
  • Generate leads via cold calling, networking, online research, and trade events
  • Understand client needs and evaluate fit with company offerings

2. Relationship Building & Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Provide tailored business solutions to address client needs
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention

3. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research
  • Create sales forecasts, financial projections, and business development plans

4. Sales & Negotiation

  • Promote company products/services to potential clients
  • Deliver compelling presentations and customized proposals
  • Negotiate contracts and close profitable deals
  • Assist in campaign planning and sales pipeline development

5. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, Finance, Logistics) for seamless execution
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
  • Prepare and present performance updates and market insights to leadership

6. Market Presence

  • Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences
  • Stay updated on market trends and emerging opportunities

III. Qualifications & Skills

A. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate / graduate qualification preferred

B. Experience

  • 3–5+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Demonstrated success in meeting targets and driving business growth
  • Experience in strategic planning, negotiation, and execution of business plans

C. Key Skills

  • Commercial Awareness – Strong understanding of market dynamics and business environment
  • Communication – Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Negotiation – Effective deal-making and contract negotiation capabilities
  • Relationship Management – Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships

  • Analytical Skills – Data interpretation for actionable insights
  • Problem-Solving – Proactive approach to resolving business challenges
